RaceTrac Hosts Transportation Committee Chairman at Store Support Center in Atlanta

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) last week visited the RaceTrac, Inc. Store Support Center in Atlanta, Georgia. During his visit, the Chairman learned both about RaceTrac and the fuel retail industry’s importance to the nation’s transportation and infrastructure.

RaceTrac spoke with the Chairman about challenges and opportunities surrounding the deployment of electric vehicle adoption, renewable fuels, and the role of liquid fuels in transportation.

Chairman Graves also met with employees of Metroplex Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of RaceTrac, which purchases and secures its own supply of bulk fuel to supply RaceTrac and RaceWay stores. Metroplex transports all of its fuel products by rail, pipeline, truck, and barge across 15 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia).
